General Jorge Luis Vargas, director of the Colombian Police, told Noticias Caracol TV that the money to finance criminal operations, especially vandalism in the most important capitals of his country, comes from Venezuela and enters through Arauca.
This information comes from the capture of alias ‘Richard’, an important member of the Second Marquetalia. This dissident group of the FARC has settled in Venezuela with the consent of the Maduro regime and is led by Iván Márquez.
‘Richard’ has been “in charge of the urban reactivation of the Second Marquetalia in Cali and in the main cities of Valle del Cauca,” the general reported. In addition, he reported that the money was used to buy weapons and explosives, as well as to pay people to commit vandalism.
