Pressured by the process followed before the International Criminal Court (ICJ), the Venezuelan regime admits that Councilor Fernando Albán was assassinated were in custody by the Bolivarian National Intelligence Service ( SEBIN, by its acronym in Spanish), Captain Acosta Arévalo was tortured until his death and the university student Juan Pablo Pernalete was killed by the impact of a tear gas canister.
The government denied all these crimes and annulled their investigations. However, most analysts and human rights defenders agree that this measure should not mislead the court in its investigation.
The ICJ is about to make the decision to continue or not in the case against Nicolás Maduro and his cronies for crimes against humanity. By OnVenezuela
