Behind the political conflicts and an economic crisis that characterize Venezuela today, there is a hidden gem from the 1950s in its capital, which is architecture. For Caracas, it was a magical decade. A period that also coincided “with the arrival of European immigrants”, for which projects were born at the hands of world-renowned architects and artists. According to Paulina Villanueva, daughter of the architect Carlos Raúl Villanueva:”It was a generation of intellectuals, of architects who had a vision of the future and who thought that in Venezuelan society that future was possible. And (in the end) it was not.”
