Trinidad and Tobago has begun talks with some European countries on the supply of liquefied natural gas (LNG) produced from Venezuelan gas, Prime Minister Keith Rowley said on Monday.Venezuela’s government in December granted a 30-year license to Shell and Trinidad’s National Gas Company (NGC) for joint development of a promising offshore gas field near the maritime border between the two countries. First output could begin by the end of next year. “There is serious European interest in what is happening in Trinidad and Tobago as they attempt to bring to market resources from South America,” Rowley said during an energy conference in Port of Spain.  A Venezuelan baby died and the mother was injured over the weekend when Trinidad and Tobago Coast Guard officers fired at a boat transporting migrants, authorities from the Caribbean nation said. THE Guardia Nacional and the TT Coast Guard were searching on Sunday in territorial waters off Venezuela and Trinidad respectively, after a vessel which left Trinidad on Friday did not arrive at port and is believed to have sunk.A release on Sunday from the TT Coast Guard said the vessel left with 25 people on board en route to the Delta region of Venezuela. La Guardia Nacional y la Guardia Costera de TT buscaban el domingo en aguas territoriales frente a Venezuela y Trinidad respectivamente, luego de que un buque que zarpó de Trinidad el viernes no arribó a puerto y se cree que se hundió. Two bodies and seven people rescued are the official figures so far after a boat sank last Friday off the coast of Guiria, Venezuela, in the Gulf of Paria. Those on board were said to be trying to enter Trinidad and Tobago illegally. Over the weekend, the governor of Delta Amacuro state in Venezuela, Lizeta Hernández, confirmed the reports in a statement.
