Forged in the exuberance of an overheated oil economy, Caracas is pickled in the 1970s: the detailing thankfully not “improved” and replacements simply unaffordable, it is a magnificent assembly of Brutalist brio, from the Parque Central to the Teatro Teresa Carreño to the Ciudad Universitaria — and many more.
