The Bolivarian Congress of the Peoples of the World opened on Monday in Venezuela’s capital Caracas, drawing delegates from more than 123 countries, the organizers said. Representatives of more than 2,150 social movements and political parties from around the globe were participating in the event promoted by the Venezuelan government, the executive secretary of the congress, Andreina Tarazon, said at the opening ceremony.
