As demonstrated on January 5, Nicolás Maduro’s regime will stop at nothing to dismantle our last remaining democratic institution. On that day, despite the best efforts of the regime’s street thugs to prevent me from entering our parliamentary building, the true democratic Venezuelans of the National Assembly met with a quorum and elected me their leader.
